Ed Mira has 59+ years in jewelry related industry .
At age fifteen, he started as an apprentice watch crystal fitter in a small jewelry store in Tampa, Florida. In 1956 he went to work for Hirsch Jewelers Supply in Miami, Fla. A short while later he moved on to the largest supply house in Miami, Miami Diamond Center.
In 1967 Ed moved to Dallas, Texas and went to work for Southwest Smelting & Refining Co. also known as Swest. He gained valuable knowledge in many phases of the jewelry business which included lost wax casting, vulcanizing and cutting rubber molds for reproduction of models, electro plating process, finishing process, etc.
Ed went on to become the Swest manager of their supply house in San Antonio from 1973 thru 1977. In January of 1978 he purchased the Stanley Donohue Co. in Houston, Texas. A few years later, the name was changed to Mira, Inc. In 1990 Ed moved the company to McAllen, Texas. He held the company for 20 years, retiring in 1997.
During his time with Swest and Mira, Inc. he conducted many lost wax casting workshops and seminars. He has also written a book in Spanish on lost wax casting which includes how to for vulcanizing and cutting rubber molds, wax Injection and finishing. The book “SECRETOS” is sold in Mexico and several locations in the USA.
After retiring he moved to Oklahoma City were he was employed by Pepetools. His duties there were varied and included overseeing assembly operations, writing instructions for the use of the equipment and many other functions that were required in the daily operations of the company.
Today, Ed still works as a consultant for Pepetools. His wealth of knowledge makes him a perfect candidate to answer your questions regarding our products.

Mike has been a self taught metalsmith for 12 years during his employment in the jewelry industry. He started his career as a customer service agent at a supply house in Seattle. In 6 years he worked his way to Purchasing Manager, and finally to Store Manager.
While in Seattle, he received his degree in design from The Art Institute, where he learned web and graphic design. After moving to Chicago, he was employed for Newall Mfg. as a graphic artist for a short time. Then he worked for The Berco Company in their tool/watch department for 3 years.
Mike settled in Oklahoma City, close to family, and went to work for Pepetools Inc. He is involved in many aspects of the daily operation including: sales, technical support, and repairs. His varied interest and knowledge in the jewelry industry will assist you in getting the answers you need.

Dawn Rodgers

Dawn received a Bachelors Degree in Graphics design from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been a professional graphic artist with Pepetools Inc. for four years. Her duties include all aspects of advertising regarding Pepetools. She is responsible for the annual company catalog, all magazine advertising, show posters, signs, banners and product photography.
Dawn is also an accomplished digital photography artist. Her exhibitions include a solo art show at the Against the Grain Art Gallery. She has displayed her talents at juried exhibitions at the Individual Artist of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Visual Artist Coalition, as well as the Donna Nigh Gallery at the University of Central Oklahoma.
